Ok we all love Ariel, the Little Mermaid, right? What's not to love with the red hair, clam shell bra, and Jamaican crab sidekick? However the Mermaid of Hilton Head provides some steep competition as far as mermaid life goes. Let's see how they stack up...

1. Who has the best sidekick?
While Flounder and Sebastian are pretty awesome sidekicks, we have to give this one to the Mermaid of Hilton Head. She has some awesome dolphin, sea turtle, sand dollar, and even shark friends that come in pretty handy in tough situations. Flounder, being unable to defend his mermaid friend from a shark attack, wouldn't need to if she befriended the sharks themselves! The Mermaid of Hilton Head thought ahead on this one!

2. Who is the best singer?
This one was not even a competition. While Ariel has a gorgeous singing voice (and a lot of awesome songs to her soundtrack), the Mermaid of Hilton Head can't even sing "Happy Birthday" without making people cover their ears. This one goes to the Little Mermaid!

3. Who has the best home?
This one was tough. Atlantis is pretty hard to beat, but the Mermaid of Hilton Head's home is very unique. With so much unique wildlife, and so many beautiful things to see on land and under the sea, this one goes to the Mermaid of Hilton Head. The Little Mermaid needs to visit Hilton Head Island to see what she's been missing!

4. Who has the best hair?
Red hair. Can anyone beat red hair? The Mermaid of Hilton Head has light brown/blonde hair that she accessories with a starfish, but Ariel has red hair that she combs out with a dinglehopper. We just can't overlook the red. This one goes to the Little Mermaid.

5. Who is better at educating humans?
While Ariel is the one to go to for advice such as what a dinglehopper is, or how to find a prince on the beach and get him to fall in love with you in 3 days without the help of your voice, the Mermaid of Hilton Head focuses her entire life about educating the humans about ocean conservation. From why it is important not to feed the dolphins, to why you need to turn your lights out for the sea turtle, she will teach you why it is so important to treat her ocean home right, and for this, she wins!
